I have trained in Facial Gua Sha with Clive Witham, internationally recognised Gua Sha specialist, author and founder of the Ecology in Motion™ approach. Clive’s unique method brings together the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a modern understanding of fascia, muscles and the body’s interconnected systems, looking beyond beauty to support natural movement, balance and vitality in the face.
Facial Gua Sha
Coming october 2026
Clive Witham Method
Facial Gua Sha is a gentle yet deeply effective treatment rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
My approach is based on the teachings of Clive Witham and his Ecology in Motion™ method, which looks beyond the face itself and considers the body as an interconnected whole.
Our face can tell a story. Tension, stress, habitual expressions and what is happening elsewhere in the body can all influence how we hold ourselves through the face.
Rather than simply working on the surface of the skin, Facial Gua Sha works with the muscles, fascia and circulation, extending beyond the face to areas such as the scalp, neck, shoulders and upper back. The aim is to release areas of tension and restriction, encourage healthy movement through the tissues and bring a natural vitality back to the face.
Facial Gua Sha can help soften facial tension, reduce puffiness and encourage a brighter, more refreshed complexion, while the wider treatment can feel deeply relaxing and restorative.
It isn't about chasing wrinkles or trying to change the way you look. It's about supporting what is already there, allowing the face to soften, circulation to improve and your natural expression to come through.
Every treatment is slow, thoughtful and tailored to you, combining the principles of Chinese medicine with a modern understanding of the body.
A treatment that goes beyond the mirror ,supporting both the face and your overall sense of wellbeing.
What to expect during the treatment?
Your treatment goes beyond the face, beginning with Gua Sha across the upper back, shoulder blades, shoulders, neck and scalp, helping to release areas of tension before moving onto the face.
Different techniques and pressures are used throughout.
Traditional Gua Sha on the body can be deeper and may sometimes leave temporary red or purple marks known as Sha, which naturally fade over the following days.
On the face, the technique is much gentler and should not leave marks.
Slow, considered movements work with the muscles, fascia and circulation, with particular attention given to areas holding tension such as the jaw, temples and forehead.
Every treatment is adapted to you and what your body needs that day.
